Puzzle Pieces

"And I, brothers, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. … "

1 Corinthians 2:1-3

I think what Paul was saying here was profound and poetic and seems to be exactly where I am. In my short life I've seen a lot, and believe it or not I haven't been impressed yet. This to me and to those who know me may seem ludicrous but its something that haunts me every day and in a way has set me free. You see I tend to see truth as something that doesn't exist until it crashes into my reality or even worse configures into the narrowness of my own limited mind. I've found this to be dangerous and so I like Paul aim to know one thing, Jesus Christ and him crucified. We can spend a life time searching out mysteries, which is good, pursue truth because it will set you free, but in the meantime I think we have to cling to that which we believe moment by moment. Some days that might simply be love or other days it might be hope that we are clinging to but gone are the days of giving up because one piece of this crazy puzzle of this world doesn't fit- my new focus is on the masterpiece that has already begun to unfold...

the evergreen state.

There was a questioning in her gaze as she looked at the woods ahead.

Completely dark. The further ahead she gazed the darker the darkness.

There were these pockets of black that broke up the branches and a looming fear that filled in the rest.

The thing about the woods is

They eventually end.

And armed with that knowledge she started to run, trees either laughing in mockery or waving her on

She could not tell.

But the more she ran she realized that the spaces that were dark quickly came into view.
